The School of Natural and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint to two Lecturer / Senior Lecturer posts in Criminology.
The post-holders will contribute to teaching on our undergraduate courses, the MSc in Criminology and the Postgraduate Certificate in Public Protection. The two successful candidates will, between them, lead teaching in criminological theory, cybercrime, and policing in the community. An ability to contribute to teaching in criminal investigation, criminal justice, and evidence-based policing would also be desirable. There will be the opportunity to develop new modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level in addition to contributing to existing modules.
The post-holders should be research active with a publication profile consistent with career stage. As participants in a new Centre for Learning and Innovation in Public Protection, they will be expected to engage with a range of stakeholders in public and third sector organisations, for instance by undertaking applied and consultancy research, or delivering training for practitioners. Experience of successful partnership working, grant-bidding, and managing funded research projects is desirable. The post-holders will also have the opportunity to supervise research students.
These permanent positions are available for a start on or shortly after 01 September 2016.
