About the role

We are looking for a talented Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Criminology to join our team. The successful applicant will contribute expertise to the undergraduate Criminology programme, as well as enhancing our growing research profile in the area of Criminology and Policing. The role includes providing study support and dissertation supervision for students, as well as pastoral tutorial support when required.

The Criminology programme is relatively new, but has seen considerable growth since its inception. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to help the team build on this success.

About you (requirements)

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable solid grounding in the teaching of Criminology at university level. You will have relevant academic qualifications to inform and support your role, and you may have some professional experience of working in the field of criminal justice. The ability to contribute to teaching in policing is preferred. You will possess exceptional interpersonal, networking and communication skills.

You will be expected to contribute to activities such as involvement with open days and public events, building appropriate links with business and the community and you will be involved in moderation and other quality assurance processes.
