Over the last five years we have increased our research capacity in our four existing research themes:

• Communities and Social Justice
• Health and Social Theory
• Higher Education and Social Inequality
• Violence and Abuse

We are in the process of developing a 5th Research theme in the area of criminal justice, social harm and inequalities.

We now welcome applications for a three year Lectureship in the area of Criminological Theory (SOCI20-52). Post holders should be able to teach broadly across theory and methods within our undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes and should demonstrate an emerging research profile which aligns with one of our four research themes or our developing 5th area.

We particularly welcome candidates from Black, Asian and other Minority Ethnic candidates, who are under-represented in our Department.
