The School of Social and Political Sciences invites applications for a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Criminology to join the team.
Currently, there are over 800 students on programmes in Sociology, Criminology, Social Policy, Politics, and International Relations. The school had a strong performance in REF 2021 and maintains an excellent reputation for the quality of its teaching and student experience. The school is ambitious and aims to build on these successes to further develop and improve our research performance, teaching, and student experience. The school has a strong collaborative relationship with relevant stakeholders in the local community, as well as at national and international level.
Whilst the school is open to all fields within the discipline, it would particularly welcome applications from candidates with an interest in Criminal Justice, rehabilitation and desistance, and policing and prisons. You may contribute to modules taught across programmes, including Research Methods, as well as supervising undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations. This will be a Teaching and Research role, which means that, in addition to teaching, our successful candidate will be expected to develop projects leading to outputs that will contribute to the school's REF submission, generate external income, and have impact within and beyond the university.
For an informal conversation about the role, please contact Gary Rawnsley, Head of School of Social and Political Sciences, at GRawnsley@lincoln.ac.uk.
Interview Date: Monday 11 December 2023
